Maggie Rodriguez-McGovern is half Ecuadorian, half Chicago-Irish. As an actor and writer she embraces all of her mixes — in heritage, personality and style.
To Maggie, the best stories are the extreme ones; the absurd yet grounded ones, the sci-fi-comedy-horror-magical-realism ones. Maggie cries hard then laughs harder, so she likes art that reflects that.
Maggie attended Columbia College, where she studied with Chicago theater and comedy trailblazers. She worked on plays, short films, web series, and the school's award winning sketch comedy show. After graduation, Maggie made the long-awaited move to LA. Since then, she's landed commercial campaigns, worked motion capture, and has produced, written and starred in short films of her own.
